Damon Rinard's Bicycle Tech Site - Information on framebuilding backed up by actual scientific data, probably a first for the bicycling community.
Spoke Tension by Pitch - A guide to adjusting spoke tension based on pitch.

Backpacker Magazine - The online version of Backpacker Magazine.
DRG Exchange - Good source for free DRGs (Georeferenced scans of USGS topo maps).
DRG Availability List - The USGS's list of sites with free DRGs.
OziExplorer - The best software I have found for viewing and printing DRGs.
U.S. Geological Survey - Check out there mapping section for detailed information on DRGs.

BBC News - Nice site for the latest news. They also have a nice news ticker that you can download and install, which will constantly scroll the latest headlines across your screen.

Computers and Technology

Nullsoft Winamp - Very nice mp3 player.
Napster - Links you to other user's mp3 playlists allowing you to easily find and download the mp3s you want.
DFX - DSP enhancement greatly increases the sound quality of Winamp and several other audio players.
Audiograbber - CD ripper for creating .wav and .mp3 files from audio CD's.
BladeEnc - A very good codec for creating high quality mp3's, integrates easily into Audiograbber. The BladeEnc codec is currently unavailable from this site due to legal issues, however, the source code is still available. The actual codec is available from several other sites including Audiograbber's download page
98lite - Utility that allows you to speed up Windows 98 by removing Internet Explorer and performing many other tweaks including swapping the faster Windows 95 shell for the Windows 98 shell.
